Originally developed to meet the demands of British Ministry of Defence (MoD) Standard 66-47/2, this style of strap was designed for dependable performance in the field. Its distinctive single-piece construction helps keep the watch secure, even in the event of spring bar failure - a feature that has made it a trusted choice among military personnel and watch enthusiasts for decades.
Crafted from durable 1.2mm nylon, the strap features a tight weave with a subtle ribbed texture inspired by original military webbing. Heat-sealed edges and adjustment holes help prevent fraying over time, while reinforced stitching throughout adds long-term durability in daily wear.
At 300mm in length with 15 adjustment holes and precise 7mm spacing, the Standard Issue strap offers a versatile fit for a wide range of wrist sizes. The lightweight nylon construction remains breathable, comfortable, and quick to dry, making it well-suited to everyday wear in all conditions.
Finished with sandblasted stainless-steel hardware, the strap maintains an understated, low-reflective appearance while helping minimise the visibility of scratches over time. A discreet woven WatchGecko label completes the design, staying true to the strap’s military-inspired character.
