The Antarctic 35 mm Eggshell White Luminova pays homage to the very first Antarctic watches worn by explorers during the U.S. Navy’s Operation Deep Freeze in 1955–56. Faithful to the original design, it features a 35 mm 316L stainless-steel case, hand-wound mechanical movement, and an eggshell-white dial with luminous arrowhead indexes. This smaller case size recreates the true vintage proportions of mid-century Swiss watches while ensuring everyday comfort. The Art Deco-inspired dial layout, domed sapphire crystal, and engraved “Penguin” medallion caseback pay tribute to Nivada Grenchen’s Antarctic legacy. Compact, elegant, and historically faithful a refined icon for collectors who value authenticity and understated design.
