This watch is classed as “Like New”, which means that it is either a customer return or a former photo sample. As such it could have very minor signs of wear and may not be supplied with the original box. However, it has still been checked to ensure that it is running perfectly, and it has a 6 month warranty.
Forzo’s Glickenhaus Automatic takes inspiration from the classic motorsports watches of the 1960s, but updates them with a modern twist. This stylish watch is part of Forzo’s collection designed in collaboration with endurance racing pioneers Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus. The result is a watch that evokes the spirit of vintage racing watches, whilst still being an original contemporary piece rather than a homage.
The 40mm steel case is just 12.5mm thick (excluding the crystal), and with a lug-to-lug length of 47mm it wears very well on the wrist. The bezel is bidirectional and features 12-hour markings so that you can track a second time zone with ease.
To ensure the best scratch-resistance and legibility the Glickenhaus Automatic has a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, as well as 100m water resistance to guarantee that you can wear it pretty much anywhere. Furthermore, the hands and markers are applied with Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 lume for readability in low-light conditions.
The Glickenhaus Automatic uses a Japanese Miyota 9015 automatic movement. This calibre is widely used by many watch brands, and is known for its reliability.
To finish off the vintage look, the Glickenhaus Automatic comes on a steel jubilee bracelet, with solid end links, screw-in links and a signed clasp.
