For me, a metal watch strap is a staple addition to any collection. Why? Because they’re so versatile. They can double up as sleek and stylish, but also casual and relaxed (depending on the type of metal strap you choose and the timepiece you pair it with). Plus, you can easily adjust the length and size for the perfect fit.

If you’re thinking about adding a metal watch bracelet to your collection, you’ve come to the right place to start your search. In this article, I’ll walk you through five of my top metal watch bracelets from WatchGecko.

Side note: These are just my personal preferences. The perfect style and design varies depending on your personal preference and the timepiece you pair it with. Feel free to browse the full list of metal watch straps to see what else is available!

Classic Style Stainless Steel Milanese Mesh Watch Strap - Polished

I’m kicking things off with this classic stainless steel mesh strap. The woven design is elegant and well-designed, with a folding latch clasp for an extra layer of security. Choose from a satin finish for a subtle yet smart look or a highly polished mesh to add some style to your timepiece.

The strap is also made from 316L stainless steel (a key sign of a quality mesh strap) and has a robust thickness of 2.8mm, all at a very reasonable price — it’s the cheapest watch strap on the list at £32.

If you’re on a budget, this strap is the perfect stepping stone to expanding your collection without breaking the bank. It’s no surprise that this is WatchGecko’s best-selling stainless steel strap.

4. German Butterfly Mesh 316L Stainless Steel Watch Strap

This German-made metal strap takes the mesh style to another level. Its polished finish offers a smooth and sophisticated quality to the strap, making it an ideal pairing for even the most lavish timepieces.

The beautifully engineered push-button folding buckle makes it easy to take on and off, while the butterfly clasp (also known as a hidden deployment clasp) adds a layer of elegance when on your wrist.

Side note: The strap is 150mm long and has four removable links so you can adjust the size down to at least 130mm. To make the strap longer, you can purchase additional links.

3. Genuine H Link Shark Mesh 316L Stainless Watch Strap

Inspired by the Omega Seamaster 600m Ploprof mesh, the “H” link shark mesh strap is a sturdy yet stylish metal bracelet. The shark mesh balances flexibility and strength, bending easily with your wrist while remaining solid and durable.

With its 4mm thickness and 1.2mm diameter, this strap is ideal for a larger watch. The “H” links also make it easy to adjust the length for a perfect, comfortable fit.

Side note: The links feature a double screw head (2.5mm diameter) design. You need a 2.5mm screwdriver to remove them.

Longevity is ensured thanks to the Classic Retro strap's durable construction and a timeless look can be achieved when paired with any vintage or contemporary timepiece.

Brushed and polished for a luxury experience with a secure fold-over buckle and added safety clasp, the Classic Retro strap is crafted with 316L stainless steel, etched with the WatchGecko logo for quality assurance and can be fitted with additional quick-release spring bars to make changing straps fuss free.

1. Warrington Stainless Steel Watch Strap

The WatchGecko Warrington is a sleek and lightweight metal strap with a luxury feel — but don’t let this fool you. This strap is made from premium quality 316L stainless steel, making it durable and resistant to corrosion (including potential damage from seawater).

The strap comes with a fold-over clasp and additional safety lock, as well as eight removable links and eight micro-adjustment positions to tailor it perfectly to your wrist. From dressier occasions to everyday wear, this versatile strap works well for any occasion.

Side note: This strap features screw-in links, which require a 2mm flat-head jewellers screwdriver to remove them.

Conclusion

So there you have it, my top five WatchGecko metal bracelets. These are my favourites, but would you add any to the list? Choosing the right metal strap for your timepiece is a personal choice, so you probably have some other straps that are worth mentioning, right? Let me know below!
