And just like that, it’s that time of year again. Christmas the time of giving is here and we want to help you out. Whether it’s a gift someone has wanted for a while or you’re gifting a complete surprise, gifting can be a bit of a minefield. That’s where we step in. If you have someone in your life who is deep into watch collecting the following gifts will be exactly what they’re looking for this Christmas.

Oh and if you’re reading this as a watch enthusiast, drop them a big hint by subtly send them a link to this article, they will get the message!

Gift Sets

These are some of the newest products to hit the website this half of 2019. They not only offer serious value for money but they also are perfect for gifting. Currently available for the E-01, G-01, G-02, C-04, C-03 and C-01 these gifts sets include the main watch itself along with fantastic additional gifts.

each gift set includes:

  • Your watch of choice fitted to the standard strap
  • Two additional two-piece straps hand selected specifically for the watch
  • One nylon strap
  • One lug gauge
  • One springbar tool
  • And finally one of our watch rolls

Check out each listing to see what the price of everything included would normally be full price and you’ll see savings that get into the multiple hundreds of pounds.

Travel Watch Box

Here we have a stylish single watch carrying case keeping your watch secure all while looking great at the same time. We find these are really useful if you’re off on a one-day work trip or you’re looking to store your watches at home securely. The soft material inside protects your watch from scratches, dings and knocks. Its handy size is ideal for throwing in a bag and having the peace of mind your watch is secure.

Watch Rolls

Now I do admit buying a watch for someone can be risky. I’d recommend ensuring you know exactly the watch they want beforehand or as a minimum, you know the style of watch they gravitate towards. Sometimes a safer bet would be something like a watch roll. A long weekend away is a perfect case study for watch rolls. Watch enthusiasts will, of course, be taking more than one watch away on a long weekend trip. The one on their wrist and one in their travel watch box aren’t quite enough...which is where the roll steps in.

Capable of holding four watches and a spring bar tool these rolls are crafted from lightweight canvas material. Once folded over and rolled up your watches will be secure and also compact.

Available in Green, Dark Grey and Light Grey here.

Watch Tools

This is a favourite gift of mine as its an incredibly practical one. Sure watch rolls and travel cases look great, but investing in good tools is often overlooked. Here at WatchGecko, we stock everything needed to take a watch passion to the next level. Springbar tools, eye loupe, screwdrivers, link removal tools, case back openers you name it we have it.

I’d recommend starting with a springbar tool, eye loupe, link removal tool and our multi-use screwdriver.

Straps can massively change the look of a watch (and make a great gift!) - Image Credit: WatchGecko Online Magazine

This may seem like an obvious one, but watch straps, in general, are a great gift to give someone. We regularly talk about how much a watch strap can transform a watches overall aesthetic and if someone hasn’t experienced this before, we recommend giving it ago. You may have seen we have a lot of watch straps on the site, so I’d recommend going for a classic brown leather strap to kick off the strap collection.

Play it safe with either a tan or chocolate brown, these are some of the most versatile options. It’s worth mentioning you will need to make sure you get the correct width for the watch.

We offer a huge range of sizes from 18mm watch bands all the way up to 22mm watch bands.

Leather Goods

Next up we have a side of our accessories that are perfect for gifting, our leather goods range. Everything from high quality wallets, travel trays, cardholders and even a wash bag feature here (The wash bag is a great option as it doesn’t have to be used as a wash bag, throw in some a watch roll or two and it’s the perfect way of safely travelling to a watch GTG).

My personal favourite option here would either be the travel wash bag or the leather tray. The tray is one of the most versatile pieces. Stick it on your bedside table and keep your watch and phone in it, have a few on your desk at work to store your EDC (guilty) and once you’re off on your travels flatten it out, throw it in your bag and you’re good to go.

Much like the cardholders, the wallets age and soften amazingly developing unique character with every use.

Don’t forget to send this to everyone who will be buying you a gift this Christmas to drop them a subtle hint...
