Nodus is well known for mixing the classic and contemporary into a style that is completely unique, and the way they use colour in their watches has a lot to do with that. The Sector series utilizes the same case and dial design throughout the series, creating a modern interpretation of classic watch genres.
The Sector Dive reimagines the mid-century skin diver watch, which had a shallower depth rating than its military counterparts. This gave them a refined look that popularized them by the everyday wearer.
The dial features three-dimensional Swiss Super-LumiNova X1 Grade lume, protected by a flat-top sapphire crystal with a domed underside, aiding legibility at all angles and depths.
The case measures 39mm in diameter and 47mm lug-to-lug. The stepped case design is made from highly durable stainless steel and features an engraved solid screw-down case-back for 100 metres of water resistance. The case also features a 120-click unidirectional bezel that doesn’t feel bulky, giving the watch a total height of only 13mm.
An oversized crown helps with winding the Seiko NH38 movement, providing 41 hours of power reserve. Nodus has taken the time to regulate the movement in four positions, which makes the watch accurate to +/- 10 secs/day. The Sector Dive watch also comes with a beads-of-rice strap with the engraved Nodus logo on the clasp.
Why This Watch?
About The Brand
Nodus is Latin for Node, an intersection of paths that blend the classic with the contemporary. The company was founded in 2017 by two watch enthusiasts, with an ethos that put function-first design to the forefront.
Nodus believes their watches are built for the important things in life and have crafted their timepieces to last through the decades.
Built in-house in Los Angeles, Nodus ensures their watches not only meet their own high standards but surpass the wearer’s expectations as well.
