The Elliot Brown Holton Professional was designed in collaboration with a specialist branch of the British Armed Forces with the 101-001 model has a Military stock number befitting of its military issued status.
The Holton came about as a natural consequence of Canford watches being worn by members of the military, when one unit requested an Elliot Brown watch of professional calibre with some very specific functional requirements. The design is inspired by vintage military watches modernised with all the hallmark Elliot Brown house design cues, putting supreme legibility and function at the forefront.
The 43mm case is made from 316L stainless steel, with anti reflective gunmetal PVD and treated with an anti-fingerprint coating that naturally repels mud and grime.
The style is unmistakably utilitarian with a matte vapour blasted finish and a 120-click unidirection bezel with tactile hobnail knurling hardened to 1200HV Vickers. Functional enhancements include the triple sealed screw down crown at 4H, tough 2mm anti-reflective sapphire crystal and solid screw in strap bars for easy strap-changes. The watch comes fitted on an extra long fitted black Military strap, woven from closely knitted polypropylene with laser-cut holes and gunmetal grey hardware.
The dial and bezel are supremely legible in low-light conditions thanks to the ultra-bright and long-lasting C3 Super-Luminova coating. The Holton Professional is powered by the Swiss Ronda calibre 715 with low-battery/end of life indicator that prevents the watch being issued with a low battery. It is housed inside a proprietary shock protection system consisting of a steel housing suspended by elastomer shock absorbers. Projected battery life is approximately 3 years.
Pressure tested to 200 meters, this watch is unapologetically fit for purpose and perfect for daily duty, no matter how harsh the conditions.
