‘It feels as good as leather, but waterproof.’ When customers describe rubber straps this way you have a winner. It’s no surprise, given our brief to Bonetto Cinturini for this understated strap with refined sculptural detail.
On first glance, simple lines suggest a plain, functional rubber strap. Only when you examine a ZULUDIVER 317 closely will you fully appreciate the delicate ‘cavatto’ cutaway. In boat-design terms, it’s like comparing Carlo Riva’s timeless Aquarama with the latest Gabrielle Teruzzi concept.
This model tapers in width by 2mm at the clasp.
Decades of expertise with high quality rubber straps
For decades, Bonetto Cinturini has specialised in making high quality rubber watch straps. Since the 1980s, they’ve consistently met the functional needs of divers, swimmers, other athletes and discerning leisure wearers. They’re even made in the same factory as many luxury brands’ OEM straps!
For this collaboration, we created another classically unpretentious waterproof range that’s strong, supple, saltwater and UV resistant. Like all our Benetto Cinturini straps, it combines durable NBR (not lint and dust-attracting silicone rubber) with contrasting hardware. The stainless steel tang buckle is ZD-signed to indicate its authenticity. Next to the sandblasted hardware, two colour-keyed box-section keepers echo the 317’s precision-cut strap holes.
The result? Another supremely comfortable rubber watch strap that looks great underwater, on the bridge or out on the town. It was inevitable when Italian flair met our meticulous design brief.

Before pretty recently, I was never tempted by a square watch. I’ve become so used to looking down and seeing the conventional round silhouette on my arm that it’s difficult to imagine anything different. But...
It feels only natural to first explain what on earth ‘padel’ is. The answer? A fairly new, but increasingly popular racket sport not dissimilar to tennis (and sometimes referred to as padel tennis), that originated...
