Strap Showcase

When you've been lucky enough to handle the Christopher Ward Bel Canto, you might think there is no way that you can perfect this machine further.

It is, in every measurable way, a work of art, and as we stated in our review of the watch, it brings the world of elite horology into the realm of everyday watch collecting. The watch comes standard on either a titanium bracelet which is beautifully finished to match the case, or a Vacona leather strap which is also highly crafted.

However, should you decide that your precious Bel Canto would benefit from an alternate look, it was our pleasure to find some beautiful examples from our extensive portfolio, which we feel really bring something different to this extra special watch.

ZULUDIVER British Military Watch Strap: AIRBORNE ElasticZULUDIVER 1973 British Military Watch Strap: AIRBORNE Elastic - £18

Yes, we appreciate that putting an £18 strap onto your £3000 CW may not be your first instinct but trust us, this looks superb.

The Elastic Military Watch strap by ZULUDIVER is crafted from high-strength elasticated woven webbing material. This versatile strap is a must-have in your collection and will fit a wide range of wrist sizes.

This military-style strap is designed to withstand the toughest conditions and provide maximum comfort, made from a combination of military-grade nylon and elastic rubber webbing material woven together. Again, we appreciate that this is not what you're going to do with your Bel Canto, but the aesthetic appearance on the watch just works.

There's not much more to be said about this classic; it just looks great on any watch, and because of the quality of manufacture and design, it elevates any watch head. The Bel Canto doesn't need much elevation; however, the strap more than steps up to the sophisticated characteristics of the watch.

The Vintage Highley is very much a staple in the WatchGecko range of leather straps. It’s proven to be incredibly popular among customers and continues to be a top seller. This is a generous strap in every way. It is thickly padded (6mm thick at the lug end) and made from the very best Italian vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather. The supple pull-up leather is oiled and will age with grace, picking up patina as it’s worn.
