As the British summer draws to a close we are treated to a flurry of sport-focused watch releases. Which did come as a surprise to me, I had assumed that with so many taking holiday at this time of year we would see a lull in the new releases to then be picked up next week at Geneva Watch Days. But I was wrong, and therefore we have an amazing collection of new watches to include in this month’s best new watch releases!
The Best New Watches from August 2026
Casio FB-100W
If you love fitness but as a watch enthusiast couldn’t be seen dead in an Apple Watch, then have I got a solution for you! Casio have just released the F-B100W, it’s a clear development of the famed f-91W but now has Bluetooth capabilities allowing you to track you steps and calories burned. Casio have kept the design language from the F-91W as well with a choice of resin and steel cases. This is the smart watch for watch nerds.

Nivada Autochron and Chronoking II
The 1970s have returned in the form of the new Nivada Grenchen Autochron and Chronoking II’s. These dial designs have been pulled straight from the archives to join the current lineup adding a pop of colour and outlandish ‘70s character. These watches maintain the classic proportions and mecaquartz movements from the first reissues. Check out the WatchGecko store if you want to grab one before they’re gone!

echo/neutra Averau Ceramic Sand
If you’ve ever wanted to own an IWC Pilot Ceramic but don’t want to drop £7k on a watch then check out the Echo Neutra Averau ceramic Sand. This 42mm ceramic cased, Sellita powered watch sells for just £875 with that sand dial colour. There’s also a chronograph version if that tickles your fancy.

Time+Tide FounderFest – Furlan Marri Outback Songlines, Serica 7505 Sunburst , Baltic Huere Du Monde Horizon Line
Time+Tide has achieved the seemingly unachievable and announced seven collaboration watches at once! There’s an amazing lineup of brands and novel designs here so definitely check out the full list of watches. My personal favourites are the Furlan Marri Songlines with its beautiful dial and case design; the Serica 7505 sunburst because as a guitarist I appreciate a good musical instrument theme; and the Baltic Huere Du Monde Horizon Line because I love the standard model and the new colours they have added on this collab version.

DOXA Army Sub 200t for Hodinkee
Based on military issue divers from the ‘70s, the latest Hodinkee collab carries forward those beautiful greige tones and orange accents into a new no nonsense limited edition of the iconic dive watch. Hodinkee have always made impressive collab watches, and it seems that trend is continuing with arguably one of the most historic dive watch brands.

O & HoraPictor Duet ‘Submarine Canyon’
A new brand came onto my radar recently and one that has a very different approach to dial design. Grand Feu enamelling is a technique usually reserved for the high-end watches but there are some brands that have managed to apply this revered dial techniques for more sensible money. The new Duet Submarine Canyon from O & HoraPictor is one of those watches and arguably has one of the most beautiful dials launched this summer.

Citizen Eco-Drive One
Citizen have a new Eco-Drive super slim watch that looks great, is only 3.8mm thick but at over $3,000 it’s also sure to slim down your wallet. Unsure how I feel about that price for a citizen, anything that costs this much could be considered expensive. But it is a good-looking watch and the ultimate expression of Eco-Drive technology.

Selten x WH& C 'Yum Cha'
Inspired by traditional Chinese bamboo steaming baskets, the Selten and WH&C Yum Cha collab watch has a beautiful engraved and enamelled dial. ‘Yum cha’ literally means drink tea, and it even has a cute little dumpling and tea set scene engraved on the back. The watch is also delivered in a beautiful little bamboo steamer style box. I really love all the nods to traditional Asian cooking and culture.

Fears Brunswick 40 Jump Hour 'Ultimus'
Andrew morgan and fears have developed what will be the last Brunswick 40 jump hour aptly named ‘Ultimus’. This fully lumed dial is easily the most visually interesting jump hour fears have done yet which somehow manages to blend 180 years of heritage with space age design, love it!

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe
Every brand seems to be releasing a skin diver at the moment; I think it must be a trend of 2026. But now one of the originals has thrown their hat in the ring with the fifty fathoms Bathyscaphe. A limited edition rebirthed from 1968, but in true Blancpain fashion it costs a seemingly ridiculous £14,000! Better wait for them to hit the secondary market.

Czapek Promenade Transparencies Aqua Blue
I’m normally not a fan of skeleton dial, but when it’s done tastefully, I can get behind it. This promenade transparencies aqua blue from Czapek is really quite beautiful. A smooth rounded 38mm case, sapphire dial and blue lume all just look really pretty, and on the flipside, you have the beautiful SXH7 micro rotor movement that defines Czapek’s watchmaking provenance.
