Do your metal watch straps come with spring bars?

Many of our metal watch straps include spring bars, but this can vary by product. Please check the individual product description for confirmation.

Are your metal watch straps suitable for diving or sports?

Yes. Stainless steel bracelets are durable and water resistant, making them suitable for sports and diving. They are a strong alternative to rubber straps for active wear.

Which metal bracelet style should I choose?

Different styles suit different aesthetics.

  • Three link oyster style is sporty and versatile.
  • Five link jubilee style is dressier and more refined.
  • Mesh or Milanese is vintage inspired and flexible.

Ultimately, it comes down to personal taste and how you want your watch to look.

How do I know what size rubber strap I need?

Check your watch's lug width, commonly 20mm or 22mm, and compare your wrist size to the strap's length range. Many rubber watch straps include multiple adjustment holes or deployant micro adjustment for a tailored fit.

Can I remove links myself, or do I need a professional?

Many of our metal straps use standard push-pin or screw-link construction, making home adjustment straightforward with a basic link removal tool. We recommend a link removal kit for best results. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, any watch repair shop or jeweller can resize a metal bracelet quickly and inexpensively.

What clasp types are available, and which should I choose?

We offer fold-over deployant clasps, butterfly clasps, and standard tang-style buckles on select models. Deployant clasps distribute pressure more evenly and are generally more secure and comfortable for daily wear. Butterfly clasps offer a seamless look. For dress watches, a polished deployant clasp is a strong choice. For sport or casual wear, a brushed fold-over clasp is more practical.

How do I match a metal strap to my watch case?

The golden rule is to match the metal finish. A brushed steel case pairs best with a brushed strap; a polished case suits a polished bracelet. For two-tone watches, look for a bracelet with matching mixed finishes. If you're uncertain, brushed steel is the most forgiving and versatile option.

What's the difference between a mesh and a link bracelet?

Mesh (Milanese) straps are made from finely woven stainless steel mesh and fasten with a sliding clasp, allowing for an adjustable fit that’s easy to fine-tune on the wrist. They have a softer, more flexible feel and work especially well with dress, minimalist, and vintage-style watches.

Link bracelets are made from solid, interconnected metal links and typically require link removal tools to adjust the size. They offer a more structured, heavier feel on the wrist and are commonly used on sports, diver, and pilot-style watches.

Will a metal strap scratch or tarnish?

Stainless steel is highly corrosion-resistant and won't tarnish. Light surface scratches are normal with daily wear, particularly on polished finishes. Brushed finishes are more forgiving and easier to maintain. PVD-coated straps (black or gold) are scratch-resistant but the coating can wear at contact points over time, this is normal and a sign of genuine use, not a defect.
