On Saturday, 23 September, WatchGecko will be exhibiting at the World Time Exhibition, held annually at the Sofitel Hotel at London Heathrow Terminal 5. This is arguably the UK's premier watch event, with worldwide exhibitors displaying their latest models as well as local designs hailing from the UK.
Getting our Exhibition ready - Credit WatchGecko
Last year, this show was a huge success, with high-end watch companies and micro brands all exhibiting shoulder to shoulder. Footfall was in the thousands so from our perspective, it was the best local watch exhibition in 2022. While the principal intention of the show is for the industry to mix, there is full public access from 1400hrs to 1900 hours, and tickets are readily available from a number of sources. Refreshments are available throughout the entire show so what better place to mingle and chat watches?
This year, we will again be exhibiting under the banner of WatchGecko and within that, we will encompass displays from our sibling brands Geckota and ZULUDIVER. We will have a full display of our latest straps such as the ZD Endurance Extreme and Space Bound as well as always popular classics such as the Lunar NASA strap and countess WatchGecko and ZD 1973 Military Nylons. Regarding watches on show, we will have Forzo racing watches and the full Geckota range, including the new Ocean-Scout and Pioneer models. We may even have some show specials…
This is a relatively new event, with the first show being in 2017. The whole idea began with the creation of the Diver's Watches Facebook Group, in 2011. The group grew very fast; it is now over 70K members, making it one of the biggest online watch groups. The watch industry soon saw the benefit of this collective and joined in creating a partnership that has spawned the wonderful exhibition we see today.
For the World Time event, the Sofitel has once again provided exclusive use of their "Zen Garden" which is located near the hotel lobby. It is a large and spacious area, laid out for the specific needs of such an event and comfortably accommodates many exhibition tables and visitors. It is a sophisticated and informal venue that is purpose-built for interaction while fantastic watches can be displayed around the circumference of the room and a central area.
This year there are 45 exhibition tables, some of which have been snapped up by familiar brands such as Doxa, Squale, Formex, Sinn, Marloe – and, of course, WatchGecko.

If you're unlucky and can't make it to the show, don't worry because the WatchGecko Magazine and YouTube channel will be present for the event. We have planned CEO-level interviews and videos of some of the latest watches, and (if technology permits) we may even try a walk-and-talk video around the entire exhibition.
Whether it's in person or via our media coverage, please join us and celebrate this annual watch event. Look out for extensive coverage on both the Magazine on YouTube Channel soon after the show.
