An expression of the flying tourbillon calibre at its purest, the Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton is all graceful curves and wide apertures. Housed in a new 41.5mm case with a thickness of only 8.4mm, as the name suggests, the two new editions stand out for their precision and finesse, as well as their remarkable slimness.

The bridges of both the Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton Red Gold and Platinum have been treated with rose-gold PVD (4N) after being decorated with radiating Côtes de Genève stripes. The flange around the calibre adopts the same finish, with the Arnold & Son signature revealed at 6 o’clock allowing the white opal dial to be shown off without interruption.

The A&S8320 calibre sits at the heart of the Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton and was designed without an upper bridge to ensure a slim finish, hence its classification as a flying tourbillon. The calibre itself is just 3.3mm thick, making the team at Arnold & Son the creators of one of the slimmest skeleton tourbillon calibres in existence.

Some may be surprised to hear that the Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton maintains a larger power reserve than the expectations of standard tourbillons, particularly slimmer models, but this specification is highly reflective of the performance regularly achieved by Arnold & Son calibres. The A&S8320 calibre is equipped with a power reserve of 100 hours thanks to exceptional craftsmanship as well as the changes made to the tourbillon carriage and regulating organ.
