Shark Mesh Watch Strap: A Different Way to Wear A Dive Watch

The bracelet can be adjusted from a minimum total length of 135mm to a maximum of 185mm. The H links use a single 2.5mm diameter screw head, so you'll need a 2.5mm screwdriver when adding or removing them. Getting the overall bracelet length right is only half the story. Small adjustments can make the difference between a bracelet that simply fits and one that's genuinely comfortable. That's where the WatchGecko Divers Deployant Buckle comes in.

There's no rule saying a shark mesh bracelet has to be worn with a dive watch, but it's difficult to deny that the combination works.

Larger dive watches are particularly well suited to the substantial 4mm profile of this bracelet. Where a lightweight strap might look slightly out of proportion next to a broad case and rotating bezel, shark mesh has enough presence to balance things out.

Vintage-inspired dive watches are another interesting pairing. Mesh can introduce a distinctly purposeful character without simply replicating the familiar appearance of a conventional stainless steel bracelet.

That doesn't mean you have to play it safe. Tool watches, chronographs and other larger sports watches can all work surprisingly well on mesh. As with any watch strap, experimentation is part of the fun. A different bracelet can make a familiar watch feel remarkably different on the wrist.

There is one compatibility point worth knowing before fitting it.
