In an exciting announcement from Nivada Grenchen, watch fans can expect to see another reinvention of one of the brand’s bestselling watches, the F77.
Originally released in the 1970’s, the model was eventually reawakened by Guillaume Laidet (CEO of Nivada Grenchen) in March 2023 where the stainless steel timepiece quickly won hearts as an exceptional budget option for those seeking a watch with a sleek integrated bracelet. The re-issue of the F77 saw the iconic timepiece emerge as Nivada Grenchen’s top-selling watch of the year. Spurred on by its resounding success, the F77 collection has been refreshed once more for 2024, and it’s better than ever...
“The legacy lives on”
Refusing to dwell on the past, Nivada Grenchen is taking the F77 collection to entirely new heights. Favoring futurism over nostalgia, the F77 is now resurrected in titanium with four stunning new dial variants: Anthracite, Aventurine, Lapis Lazuli, and Genuine Meteorite (available only during the pre-order period).

Thanks to the use of grade 5 titanium, the F77 now offers enhanced lightness and comfort, weighing in at an impressive 40 grams lighter than the original stainless steel version. The iconic basket-weave dials have also been refreshed, particularly in the case of the F77 with meteorite. Enhanced with a fragment of material from space, its metallic grey dial makes every watch unique, as the patterns and textures of no two dials are the same.
The meteorite isn’t alone, though, as two other hard stone iterations have also made their way into the collection. Firstly, the lapis lazuli dial, an intensely blue ornamental stone composed of several minerals and commonly used in mosaics and decorative arts. And the latter, the aventurine dial, appearing in a stunning deep green with a distinctive, shimmering effect thanks to the process of crystallization which has occurred over eons and eons.

The new series of four watches each have a case diameter of 37mm with extra-thick baton-shaped and faceted hour markers, similarly to their 2023 counterparts. Powered by an automatic Swiss-made SOPROD P024 movement, the F77 offers its wearer a 38-hour power reserve. The four new versions will be available to pre-order from April 25th exclusively at nivadagrenchenofficial.com and if you want to get your hands on a piece of space, you’ll have to be fast as the Meteorite option is only available for purchase throughout the pre-order period.
