Each dial boasts the Essence collection's distinctive horizontal lines, meticulously CNC-machined into the dial base individually. To achieve the unique grainy and ultramatte finish, the colours are skillfully hand-sprayed in Formex's dial manufacture nestled in the Swiss Jura mountains. Contrasting gun-metal finished hour markers and hands enhance legibility and make a bold statement against the vivid backdrop of the dials. At the 6 o'clock position, the date window exhibits its signature slope, flawlessly integrated with a perfectly colour-matched date wheel.

Two sizes – Two Case Materials
The new Splash collection is launched in limited production quantity in both the Essence 39 mm Automatic Chronometer stainless steel case, and the ultra-lightweight Essence 43 mm Leggera carbon and ceramic case. Both versions are built thin and feature Formex's patented Case Suspension, a unique system with four integrated springs that adapt to the wearer wrist movement to noticeably enhance comfort. Formex's deployant clasp enables the wearer to effortlessly and gradually adjust the leather, nylon, and rubber straps over 7 mm while wearing the watch, ensuring a comfortable fit that accommodates variations in wrist size caused by activity and climate. The highly articulated stainless steel bracelet features a fully integrated butterfly clasp with a hidden micro-extension of 4 mm. All straps can be changed without using any tools.

Keeping Time
Inside the Essence beats a Swiss Made Sellita SW-200 automatic movement, ensuring accuracy and reliability. It comes in the highest quality grade ”Chronometer” level, using top of the line components only found in Chronometer-grade movements. It is beautifully decorated with perlage on the bridges and thermally blued screws on the movement and the custom-made rotor. Each of the movements undergoes the COSC certification process, a meticulous 15-day rate test to ensure extraordinary levels of mechanical accuracy and precision. Only the movements that pass the stringent assessment will be certified and engraved with a unique serial number. The movements’ power reserve extends to 41 hours.

Our Perspective:
Once again Formex show they are on-trend by releasing a feast for the eyes with this rainbow vibrant collection of Essence watches. It's amazing what a colour change can do when you consider the Essence range, particularly the Leggera models, are sophisticated tool watches with a serious edge.
The new colour palate lifts the Essence into a totally new dimension and no doubt these special editions will sell out very quickly. These models are ONLY available on the Formex website so you will have to buy direct from them if you want to secure one.
