At Watches and Wonders 2024, A. Lange & Söhne introduces a breathtaking new timepiece: the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen”. Representing a quarter-century since the original DATOGRAPH's launch, this exquisite watch combines a flyback chronograph, jumping minute counter, perpetual calendar, and tourbillon with stop-seconds function. Limited to just 50 pieces, this masterpiece marks the first time the brand's exclusive HONEYGOLD material is used alongside the luminous "Lumen" version.

Initially introduced in 2016, the DATOGRAPH PERPETUAL TOURBILLON represents the pinnacle of precision watchmaking, integrating three iconic complications. The challenge lies not only in mastering each complication individually but also in harmonizing their functions while ensuring a legible and aesthetically pleasing dial. The DATOGRAPH PERPETUAL TOURBILLON HONEYGOLD “Lumen” takes this legacy further by showcasing its mechanical brilliance and visual allure even in low-light conditions.

Three Timeless Complications, Elevated Features

This watch is a masterpiece of horology, with features that set it apart. The Datograph component denotes a flyback chronograph with Lange's signature oversized date display. The flyback function enables rapid sequential timing with a single push, while the minute counter ensures precise readings by advancing exactly with each completed second. A tachymeter scale encircles the dial, crafted from coated sapphire crystal, offering functionality and elegance.

The Perpetual calendar complication, designed for extensive timekeeping, accounts for varying month lengths and leap years. Its moon-phase display boasts remarkable accuracy, deviating from the lunar cycle by just one day every 122.6 years. A quick-adjust button allows for synchronized changes across all displays, while individual correctors enable precise adjustments for specific calendar settings.

The Tourbillon feature refers to the one-minute tourbillon mechanism, which counters the effects of gravity on the movement. Introduced by A. Lange & Söhne in 2008, this innovation incorporates a stop-seconds mechanism, allowing users to halt the tourbillon's rotation for precise time setting.

Radiant Elegance, Day and Night

In low-light conditions, the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen” reveals its enchanting charm. The semi-transparent dial and luminous coating illuminate the displays and functions, creating a captivating glow. Luminous elements on the hour and minute hands, chronograph seconds hand, and subsidiary dials ensure visibility in any environment. The luminous outsize date display, a hallmark of Lange watches, showcases the brand's commitment to innovation and craftsmanship.

Introducing Calibre L952.4

At the heart of the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen” lies the calibre L952.4, comprising 684 meticulously crafted components. Featuring a classic column-wheel chronograph and a Lange balance spring, this movement ensures unparalleled rate stability across its 50-hour power reserve. Through the sapphire-crystal caseback, enthusiasts can admire Lange's signature quality hallmarks, including bridges crafted from untreated German silver, polished gold chatons, and blued screws.

The Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen” retains its original dimensions, featuring a 41.5mm diameter honey-gold case with a height of 14.6mm. Limited to just 50 pieces, this timepiece represents the epitome of exclusivity and craftsmanship, combining the unique properties of honey gold with the luminous "Lumen" coating.
