In a tribute to the historic field watches, Bamford London and Ace Jewelers of Amsterdam have collaborated on their first joint project, the Bamford B80 ‘Ace’. The limited edition has been produced in line with the mantra “if it’s too perfect, fix it”, and much like humans, these watches are expected, if not encouraged, to “take knocks”.

An uncommon sentence to hear from a luxury watch brand, especially regarding their own products, but the ‘ACE’ Bamford B80 is designed to prove that a watch can, and should, withstand just as much as its wearer. Whilst the original Bamford B80 field watch in Black PVD coated titanium was designed with durability in mind, it wasn’t scratch proof. This time around, the ‘Ace’ pushes that concept as the first knock is on them, to alleviate the new watch worry of being responsible for its first imperfection.
Each of the limited 50-pieces is produced in a titanium B80 case with a unique patina and is presented with a playful vial full of the essentials required to make your Ace edition, ‘perfect’, or not. But owners are advised to please not use them…

Inspired by Alon’s (CEO of Ace Jewelers) enjoyment of traditional field watches with its classic layout, the B80 ‘Ace’ includes both hours and minutes and comes on a 20mm Cordura strap which has been produced in a utilitarian, military style in a nod to its heritage.
