The Forge Watch Strap is designed for durability, comfort, and everyday versatility, combining the refined look of leather with performance characteristics typically associated with sailcloth. Handmade in Germany, it’s built for those who want a strap that wears just as well in the office as it does outdoors.
Rather than traditional sailcloth, the Forge Strap is crafted from Astico Matrix leather, a specialised PU-coated split leather developed and produced exclusively in Italy. Using advanced coating technology and in-house moulds, Astico recreates the distinctive texture and structure of sailcloth while retaining the classification of genuine leather. The ultra-thin polyurethane coating - less than 0.15mm - delivers enhanced resistance to abrasion, flexing, and corrosion, without compromising flexibility or comfort.
Light padding, measuring approximately 4.5mm at the lugs and tapering to 3mm, provides structure on the wrist while remaining supple and easy to wear throughout the day. A polished stainless steel buckle adds a clean, refined finish, while double box stitching reinforces key stress points and contributes to the strap’s purposeful, well-balanced aesthetic.
The result is a strap that offers the sleek sophistication of leather with durability and performance comparable to sailcloth — a reliable choice for field watches, military-inspired designs, and everyday classics alike.
