The Memoir is our very first dedicated dress watch. A timeless piece that evokes the enduring design cues of the art deco period, the Memoir wraps it all up with vintage proportions and incredible levels of finishing and craftsmanship. We found a new dial maker for the Memoir in order to achieve the very fine details inherent in the design. We know you’ll agree we really did our homework for this one.
Design for us has always been about following where inspiration takes us. Typically, that has meant sport and dive watches that have our design DNA embedded into the dials and cases. However, every now and then you get a flash that ignites your imagination, and before you know it, you’ve created something that just can’t be held back. In fact, we had other models lined up to release after the Gin Clear MkII, but the emergence of the Memoir design was entirely irrepressible. We moved everything aside and immediately set to work.
Specifications
Compact dimensions keep the Memoir true to its roots and make it wearable for just about anyone. At a modest 28mm case width and 39.5mm lug to lug, the Memoir provides ample real estate for the marvellously detailed dials, but the real surprise is the fit. At just 7.3mm case thickness and with its wonderfully curved case, the Memoir is a contoured dream. The sapphire crystal curves gracefully with the case, and this curve is reflected in the arc of the baton indices arrayed around the dial.
The superior craftsmanship isn’t just limited to what you can see. Inside ticks the outstanding engineering of the Swiss Made, Ronda Slimtech quartz, small seconds movement with 6 jewels and gold plating. This is not your average quartz ticker.
Exclusive Leather Strap
This exclusive version of the Memoir is supplied with a WatchGecko Camden strap, meticulously handcrafted from premium mutton leather. Rarely used but extremely beneficial, mutton leather is soft and velvety to the touch and is the thinnest of all mass-produced commercial leathers. Light, supple and extremely comfortable on the wrist, the mutton leather is Tuscan vegetable-tanned with an oiled finish that creates a distinctive pull-up effect.
Presented in five charming colours, we haven’t left anyone out. From classic black to the more playful dark olive and red, the hardest part will be choice.
