Founded in Melbourne, Australia, Second Hour is an independent brand born from a passion for purposeful design and mechanical craftsmanship. Established in 2019 by Peter and Akira Sargison, the company’s name reflects both a love of horology and a personal “second chapter” - a deliberate shift from careers in other industries to a pursuit of creative independence.

As former creatives and product developers, the founders approach watchmaking with the same precision and care they once brought to industrial design - prototyping, testing, and refining until the proportions, textures, and ergonomics align perfectly.
