The first release of this 100-piece limited edition will be available to purchase on 14th June at Hands on Horology show in London and online from 16th June. Once sold out, a second batch of watches will be available to pre-order online from 16th June.
The Boldr x WatchGecko Polaris is a 100-piece limited edition field watch that marries the rugged reliability of Boldr’s Venture series with exclusive design elements from WatchGecko. This collaboration results in a timepiece that is both robust and refined, tailored for modern adventurers, watch and space enthusiasts alike.
The Boldr Venture is the watch that put Boldr on the map. The Venture takes the classic field watch design and brings it into the 21st Century with an angular titanium case. As the Venture’s case is titanium, it’s incredibly light, and at 38mm wide and just over 12mm thick, it wears very well on the wrist.
True to its field watch roots, the Venture meets all the requirements of a quality tool watch. It has a solid 200m water resistance, so you can swim and dive without having to worry about water ingress. It also has a flat sapphire crystal, with an anti-reflective coating, that’s incredibly resistant to scratches.
The Polaris features a captivating aventurine dial, flecked with shimmering particles. The surface is smooth and glassy, evoking the feeling of gazing into space with constellations highlighted in Super-LumiNova, with the brightest star - Polaris - placed at the centre of the handset.
We have chosen to use a Seiko NH38 automatic movement in the Venture. This reliable Japanese calibre has 24 jewels, beats at 21,600bph and has a 41-hour power reserve.
Based in Singapore, Boldr is a brand that focuses on adventure. The company produces a variety of models designed for people to take with them anywhere, from mountain tops to sea floors.
As a result, Boldr’s watches are built to take on some tough conditions. Their watches use sapphire crystals and many have titanium cases - perfect for the modern explorer!
