The ‘lug width’ is simply the internal width measured between the lugs (where the watch strap fits) of the watch.
Built for dive watches, GMTs, field watches and everyday sports watches, the 284 is a classic 2-piece rubber strap with a rugged, ready-for-anything feel.
Made in partnership with renowned Italian strap maker Bonetto Cinturini, it brings together comfort, durability and clean tool-watch style in one dependable strap.
The standout feature is the laser-incised “dice” perforation pattern. It helps air flow under the strap, keeping things more comfortable when the day heats up, whether you’re out on the trail, by the water, or just tackling the daily commute.
The matte textured finish gives the 284 a smart, purposeful look without the cheap shine you sometimes see on standard rubber straps. It pairs especially well with brushed steel watches and adds a clean, sporty edge without trying too hard.
Designed for Comfort
The 284 is made to feel secure without being stiff or bulky. Its rubber construction gives you waterproof confidence, while the perforated design helps reduce that warm, trapped feeling under the strap.
With 9 adjustment holes spaced at 7mm intervals, it offers a wide fit range from approximately 135mm to 190mm, measured while fastened and excluding the watch head. That makes it a solid choice for small, medium and larger wrists.
Vanilla-Scented Rubber
Like many traditional Italian rubber watch straps, the 284 has a subtle vanilla fragrance added during production.
It helps reduce the natural odour often found in rubber products and has become a much-loved detail among watch fans. A small touch, but a good one.
Fit & Compatibility
The 284 is available in 22mm lug width and tapers neatly to 20mm at the buckle.
It works well with a wide range of dive watches, GMT watches, field watches and modern sports watches.
Please note: while this strap can be used with original 2.5mm Seiko spring bars, the fit is tight. For fitting advice, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to help.
