New Releases

It has been a mammoth month for new watch releases. With Geneva Watch days kicking it all off at the beginning of the month and many bands now looking toward the colder months ahead it has meant I have been inundated with new watches. I’m not complaining by any means, there’s nothing I love more than seeing what new creations come our way, but it has made this month’s article a bit of a challenge.

I have condensed all of the releases from this month into my favourite new watches. I haven’t included any Seiko, as they released so many new things they deserve their own article coming tomorrow.

So, let's get straight into what's new this month!

Tudor 1926 Luna

A late entry to the party this month and one I never saw coming. For me the 1926 has always been the slightly neglected little sibling in the Tudor lineup. One of the few remaining Tudor models to outsource its movement and a design that felt dated even when it was new. So, to pick up Instagram earlier today (which is not where I get all of my reputable information by the way) I was pleasantly surprised to see this new release.

Powered by a Calibre T607-9, still an outsourced movement but a high quality one nonetheless, we see a notable upgrade to the dial design with a sunburst effect in three colours black, gold, and blue. The position and design of the moonphase is perfect and the seven-link bracelet is stunning. The simple design language elevates the 1926 from something that looked like an afterthought to a truly beautiful dress watch from an awesome brand.

Dennison ALD Dual Time

I have been a casual enjoyer of Dennison for a little while now. And by that, I mean I love their watches but dress far too casually to properly wear one of their beautiful ALD models. Having said that, I would very much love to wear one of the new Dual Time models no matter my attire. The use of twin Swiss quartz movements and small handsets looks so brilliantly vintage.

There are two designs to choose from, a dual half and half stone design or a single stone type with a guilloche sub dial for the second time zone. Personally, I love the sharp contrast and unique look of having two stones cutting the dial in half. It also helps to highlight the difference between the two handsets.

Retro, creative, classy, I love it and apparently so does my Fiancé (and that is high praise as she only likes about four watches!).

Fears x Studio Underdog 02Series Manhattan

We all remember the craziness that the Gimlet caused at British Watchmakers Day 2025. Well prepare for round two over in New York at Wind Up NYC as the two juxtaposing brands have teamed up once again to create this, the Manhattan.

Sticking with the cocktail inspiration this watch features a rich amber dial reflecting the colour of the drink it has been named after. Utilising Studio Underd0g’s dial making technique by using a sapphire plate on top of a silver sunburst plate and Fears’ Brunswick 38mm case, this watch oozes class and style while also being a standout amongst dress pieces.

This watch is limited to just 300 pieces and only available for sale at the show. I have done a full review which you can read here. But don’t be too disheartened if you can’t make it to Wind Up as spy shots that were leaked recently suggest the Nicholas and Richard are mixing more drinks.

H Moser & Cie Endeavour Perpetual Calendar 'Smoked Salmon'

H. Moser is a brand that I have spent very little hands-on time with. But in the infrequent occasions where I have seen them in person, they have blown me away. The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar does not look like a perpetual calendar but instead looks like a simple time and date watch. That was Moser’s intention as the information on the dial of a perpetual calendar can often be too busy to maintain a sleek and classy aesthetic. The HMC 800 calibre that has been award winning for the brand and allows the calendar to display the month and date subtly by using the third small hand that uses the 12 indices to mark the month of the year.

The dial colour is named ‘Smoked Salmon’. Now I may not eat much smoked salmon but I don’t remember seeing any that was quite that dark. I don’t really care what it’s called as it is one of the most beautiful dials of the month and possibly of the year. I love the subtle texturing and even more subtle H. Moser logo. The white gold case and high horology movement do make this watch quite expensive, but it’s a Moser so you get the quality you pay for.

Price: CHF 54,000

Ressence Type 9 ARM

Antwerp based brand, Ressence are not one to do things by the book. They invented an entirely new watch design that entered the high horology ranks looking more like something produced in Star Wars than Switzerland. The Type 9 is the simplest and sleekest of the range and it has now been elevated in a collaboration with Hong Kong’s premier clothier, The Armoury.

It’s at this point I realise I have chosen two ‘salmon’ dials back-to-back. But this is a shade that I would more easily call salmon. It’s a beautiful shade that has a subtle almost sandy texture to it but is superbly smooth and operates thanks to the Ressence Orbital Convex System. The grade 5 titanium case has been polished and decorated with a fluted bezel adding a more classic design touch. Thanks to the lightweight materials, this watch weighs just 39 grams including the strap! Limited to just 20 pieces, this is sure to be a rare watch.

Oyster Perpetual DateJust – A Watch that Made History

Ok, I know that this isn’t technically a new watch release. But it is still significant to the watch industry. The second ever licensed Rolex book following the Submariner book that launched last year has been announced this month brought to us once again by the wonderful Nichola Foulkes. This means that for the first time official Rolex production numbers, historical documentation and imagery will be released to the public for arguably their most iconic model, the DateJust.

I am looking forward to reading this and learning more about one of my favourite watches of all time. Also, please let us know in the comments if a watch book review is something that you would be interested to see!

Price: £100

Hermes H08

I have always been slightly interested in the H08. It’s a watch from a fashion brand that is actually a proper watch and one that looks great too. This model has been launched with a titanium case and in one configuration with light blue indices and strap specifically named ‘bleu Saint-Cyr’. Here I go on my light blue kick again. But in all seriousness, this is a high-quality manufacture sport watch in titanium with a fully in house calibre and rhodium plated sand blasted dial. The 42mm cushion case might just be too big for my liking, but this is still a stunning watch.

Price: £5,870 (on rubber strap)

Final Thoughts

This was a very condensed list of the best releases from September. If you’d like to see more of our top picks from September, be sure to catch this month’s episode of Time to Unwind and look out for a video exploring specifically the best releases from Geneva Watch Days.

As the days get shorter and the weather colder, we may start to see a decline in the number of new watches we see this year. That’s not to say that there won’t be more exciting things to come in 2025, there will be. But we probably won’t see another month like this one just gone.

Let me know in the comments which your favourite new releases were from September 2025. I’m always curious to hear your thoughts.
