After brand ambassador Scott McKenna’s supreme Silverstone success, the next two targets were Donington Park and Zandvoort.
With a weekend of three races ahead of him at Donington Park, it was important for Scott to cement his place at the top of the championship. After a tight qualifying session, Scott managed to secure pole position.

The final race was another hotly-contested encounter. Starting from fifth, McKenna used his ice driving experience on worn tyres to haul himself into the lead battle and finish a strong fifth, keeping title rivals Adam Smalley and Gordie Mutch in sight. The result launched Scott into the lead of the GT5 Challenge Drivers' Championship.
“It's more points at the end of the day and it was massive for us. We're in a good position now for Zandvoort and Snetterton. Hopefully, the next few rounds will be strong for us."

Going into Zandvoort Scott was eagerly waiting to further make a positive impression on the track, and he did just that.
Race 1 for Scott in Holland after securing a P3 in qualifying. The race itself was a close one with less than five seconds splitting the top eight drivers at the chequered flag. Scott still managed to battle hard and secure 2nd to further strengthen his lead at the top of the championship.
Going into Sunday the heat remained high as Scott secured another 2nd on the track with only six-tenths of a second splitting the top three at the chequered flag. The on-track leader of the race was given a penalty after the race finished meaning he dropped to 3rd and Scott inherited the win.
Scott then led going into the final race, however, he had to fight hard to keep the pole position. A photo finish was required which showed Scott was indeed in front over the line. This latest victory means Scott has the most victories this year than any other driver. 5 wins in the last 8 races, not bad at all!
