Fusing a shared passion of vintage and contemporary design, Italian friends Giovanni Moro and Simon Nunziato founded UNIMATIC in 2015 with a goal of offering unique edition watches with good design as the principle and the method for their innovations.

Constructed with function and utility at the forefront with clean, modern aesthetics, the brand previously collaborated with Massena LAB on the creation of the UNIMATIC X Massena LAB Modello Cinque U5S-ML. Following a successful launch in Winter 2024, the collaboration piece was the first UNIMATIC timepiece to be presented with a 36mm case diameter. Inspired by German mid-century industrial design and incorporating the brand’s most-loved qualities of smaller diameter watches, the Modello Cinque was produced on a limited 300 piece run and is still available here.

Now, following the already successful collaboration with Massena LAB, UNIMATIC have reworked the Modello Cinque into two sleek, new editions. Offered in stainless steel and a blacked-out DLC version, the Modello Cinque U5S-A/N continues the brand’s recently established trend of housing their timepieces in a 36mm case.
"The newly crafted Modello Cinque represents UNIMATIC's dedication to smaller diameter watches, with a compact 36mm size. Its case features a generously sized dial opening with an angled rehaut. Paired with oversized crowns and curved lugs, the case design ensures both comfort and aesthetic appeal across various wrist sizes. Each of the two new variants are powered by the Swiss-made, manual winding Sellita SW200-1 b movement which offers wearers a 41-hour power reserve, 26 jewels, 4Hz frequency and a hacking seconds hand. With Grigio Milano dials, UNIMATIC’s signature outline markers and glossy skeleton hands, the finished look is minimalistic yet smart and a flattering choice for a variety of wrist sizes.

Featuring new, slimmer TPU straps which taper from 22mm to 20mm, the limited edition models will each be provided with an additional black calf leather strap which allow the sleek timepieces to be dressed up or down as the wearer requires.

Launching today (Tuesday February 20th at 4pm GMT), the new editions will retail at €750 for the Modello Cinque U5S-A and €850 for the Modello Cinque U5S-AN. 300 pieces will be made available for each model.
