New Releases

April is often one of the busiest months for new watch releases. The combination of Watches and Wonders, Time to Watches, Chronopolis, and many other shows along with the beginning of the Spring-Summer season makes for one of the most exciting times of the year for us watch enthusiasts. To round out what has been an incredible month of releases here are my best new watch releases for April 2026!

Just before we get into it, this list does not include watches launched at Watches and Wonders, this is strictly the releases that took place this month outside of Geneva. If you are keen to hear my thoughts about the best watches from this year’s Watches and Wonders, then make sure to also read my article through this link.

Christopher Ward Sealander Evolution

The Sealander range, I feel, has always been the greatest representation of what Christopher Ward embodies. High quality finishing, durability, attractive design, reliable movements, and reasonable pricing. For 2026 the whole model line gets an update, a refresh, making one of their most compelling models even more compelling.

The key updates here are the design. Bezels are now shinier, proportions now perfected, and a new bracelet that features toolless link removal. On the inside, for the automatic models, the new Sellita Power+ movements boost power reserve up to 65 hours and increase accuracy. Going back to this toolless bracelet adjustment, which Christopher Ward call ‘iLink’, it’s brilliant, possibly one of the best bracelet adjustment systems I’ve come across. Simply pop your fingernail into the pusher and slide the link out. It’s so easy and yet robust enough for me to be confident in the bracelet not coming apart on wrist. The dial finishing and new colours make a vast difference on these watches. The improved lacquer and colouration really make these models pop and look far above their predecessors’ finishing quality. I just wish they did the pistachio in 36mm!

Beaucroft Contour GMT

The Element line is what really drew me to Beaucroft initially (alongside the fact that Matt and Karim are absolute gentlemen). Now building on some of those design elements we have the first Beaucroft watch to feature a complication. The 39mm case size and amazing 3-link bracelet have been retained from the Element model, and a Miyota movement is still providing the power. 100m water resistance, hardness coating, and a sapphire crystal all add up to a durable traveling timepiece designed to accompany you on your voyages.

The standout feature for me, as is the same on all of Beaucroft’s models, is the dial colour. Beaucroft do dials very very well and this new GMT keeps this trend. The Tropical Teal colour is for the launch and evokes the feeling of viewing the Caribbean Sea from the air for the first time. There will be other colours to follow capturing these moments of travel and I can’t wait to see them.

Baltic Heures Du Monde

I know that this technically came out in March, but because of when I released the last ‘Best New Watches’ article this watch was missed off and it’s too good not to include. I’ve always been a casual enjoyer of Baltic, their vintage inspiration, accessible pricing, and good specifications, but this is the first time I’ve actually been considering purchasing one of their watches. I don’t travel much and when I do it’s often only to Europe where the time differences don’t warrant the need for a worldtimer or even GMT complication. But nonetheless I find myself drawn to the romance of a global traveller’s watch, especially when it looks this good.

The watch is powered by a Soprod C125 GMT movement that has been modified to accommodate the 24hr rotating disc that surrounds the stone centre dial. It’s 37mm in diameter and 11.3mm thick but the crystal is 2mm of that, so it’s exceptionally slim and perfectly sized for my wrist. I love the Labradorite stone, not only because it shares its name with the lovable dog, but because the grey-blue hues and textures are subtle but once you notice them, they really capture your attention.

Venezianico Arsenale Calendario

When you think about multiple complication, slim, integrated sports watches your mind will most likely go to the ‘holy trinity’ and therefore to unattainable price points. But Venezianico have once again proven that expense need not be a barrier to watch ownership. This watch features a power reserve indicator, day, date, month, and a day-night indicator. All of this is fitted into a case that is 40mm in diameter and only 9.6mm thick. The case and bracelet are beautifully designed with some cues reminding me of Parmigiani but not to the extent that this feels like a homage. A combination of value, style and complication that looks this good is always going to go down well with me.

Fears Brunswick ‘Filton’

Both Fears and the city they call home, Bristol, are packed full of history. So, it seems only fitting for the team at Fears to create a watch that celebrates both legacies. The Filton area of Bristol was home to a lot of aviation innovation and is still the location of Rolls-Royce’s jet engine facility. The 40mm Brunswick case wears brilliantly and I’m a big fan of the dial design and numerals. Of the two I would pick the green, the black is the most versatile choice of course, but I just love the way the green looks and it differentiates itself from my IWC Mark XX.

Apparently, we will be seeing more Brunswick 40s with sporty designs. I look forward to those.
