The overall adjustable length ranges from approximately 110mm to 212mm, giving plenty of scope for different wrist sizes.

Once cut, the benefit becomes immediately apparent. There is no long tail of excess rubber to manage and no unnecessary material sitting beneath the wrist. Instead, the HydraWeave takes on a much cleaner, more tailored appearance.

Of course, cutting a watch strap is a slightly more committed approach than simply choosing another adjustment hole, which is why the clearly marked sizing increments are an important part of the design. Measure carefully, work progressively and the reward is a fit that feels much more considered.

Not all rubber watch straps are created equal, and FKM has become an increasingly popular choice for those looking for something that can cope with demanding use while remaining comfortable on the wrist.

The HydraWeave is moulded from FKM rubber, chosen for its combination of flexibility, durability and resistance to challenging conditions. The HydraWeave is supplied with our Push Button Divers Deployant Buckle, which combines secure fastening with a useful degree of additional adjustment after the strap itself has been sized.

Precision-engineered from 14 individually machined components, the deployant uses a dual push-button release for straightforward and secure operation. More importantly for a cut-to-size strap, it offers six micro-adjustment positions.

Those small increments mean the fit can still be fine-tuned without reaching for the scissors again. Whether your wrist expands slightly in warmer weather or you simply prefer a little more room later in the day, the clasp provides some welcome flexibility.

Despite its construction, the deployant measures just 36mm in length, keeping the underside of the strap relatively compact and avoiding unnecessary bulk.

The HydraWeave sits in an interesting middle ground. It has the material and construction you would expect from a serious performance-focused FKM rubber watch strap, but its appearance is deliberately more refined than the stereotypical chunky rubber strap. That makes it an obvious partner for dive watches, but it should work equally well with contemporary chronographs, sports watches and other watches that benefit from a little extra texture.
