Did you stay up past your bedtime on Sunday to watch the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl LVIII?
It was an exciting, tension-building game and one that went into overtime for only the second time in NFL history. We also saw Usher dancing – and heavily sweating – his way through the halftime show on top of a giant clock and at one point, Patrick Stewart attempted to throw Hey Arnold’s head as part of a Paramount+ advert. There was a lot going on, but for us watch enthusiasts, our eyes were fixed on one thing: wrists.
Whether you tuned into the game or not, it’s always fun to see what watches the world’s biggest celebrities and sportsmen choose to wear to an event like this. Some of the choices were anticipated; there’s always plenty of iced-out timepieces and fancy Rolexes making an appearance. But there were also some unexpected watches at the Superbowl 2024 including a Tudor Black Bay and a Casio Calculator watch…

Later at the after party, he went all out with his diamond-set Breitling Bentley.

John Lynch, the General Manager of The San Francisco 49ers, was caught sporting a Luminor Panerai on the field. It’s difficult to tell exactly which model he owns, but it appears to be a stainless steel reference with a black dial and tan calfskin leather strap.
Chase Young

We spotted several iced-out watches at the Superbowl 2024, but one notable model was worn by Chase Young. He chose a Patek Phillipe Nautilus decked out in factory diamonds.
Boomer Esiason

Last but definitely not least, one of our personal favourite watches seen at the 2024 Superbowl was worn by American footballer George Kittle. He chose the retro-cool Casio Calculator with a gold-plated case. This was likely the most affordable timepiece seen at the event, retailing for just £55.
