One of the coolest watches from OW can be made to look even more impressive with just some simple strap changes...
If we’ve said it once we’ve said it a thousand times, but watch straps really can change the look and feel of a watch. It is the quickest, easiest and normally the cheapest way of giving a watch in the collection a refresh. The end result can easily feel like you’ve just added a new watch to your collection, all for a fraction of the cost.
Here we have a ‘proper’ tool watch from OW. The P104 is quite an under the radar choice when compared to other watches in its price point, however its performance and looks are seriously impressive. When we reviewed this watch a few months ago we showed the watch on a Military Nylon, sailcloth strap and a leather. But there is a lot more the watch can offer. Take a look for yourself…
Corfinio Gabardine Recycled Fabric Watch Strap in Black
A calm, clean start for this strap showcase as the P104 is fitted to the Corfinio Gabardine in Black. This strap is actually made from recycled fabric meaning you not only get a comfortable fit but also peace of mind. Things have been kept simple with this strap in terms of design as neat box stitching wraps around the strap just adding some detail, but not too much. Commonly found in suits, Gabardine is a tough fabric weave that is extremely strong.
Geckota Kington Vintage Style Leather Dress Watch Strap in Camel
In our review we showed the P104S on the Dedworth leather, however, this watch has more to give with leather straps, hence the Kington Vintage in Camel. This lighter brown option is fantastic at picking up on that unique orange lume colour as well as dressing up this traditionally tool watch piece. A solid option if you want to go for a more conventional ‘watch on a leather strap’ look.
Redhill Racing Perforated Genuine Leather Watch Strap in Black / Orange
Now this combo is the one to go for if you really want to make this watch stand out. If you’ve checked out the full review, you know about the minute hand design on the P104. Fast forward to this combo with its perforated design with contrasting colour inside the perforation and unique stitching. The name of the game with this strap is matching. The orange leather matches the lume, the dark tone of the strap matches the dial and bezel, and the white stitching matches the font and more slight details.

Radford Hand-Stitched Top-Grain Nubuck Leather Watch Strap in Black
As you can probably tell by now, watch straps that are predominantly black are always safe bets for the P104. The Radford stands out from the crowd though, as the contrasting white stitching is great at picking up on the white lume sporadically distributed around the dial. This new strap in our range is extremely smooth and soft to touch with a decent amount of thickness (around 3.5mm at its max) which effectively complements the P104’s 12.5mm depth.
Zennor Quick Release FKM Rubber Watch Strap by ZULUDIVER in Orange
Last but not least we have easily the most attention-grabbing (and probably my favourite) watch strap, the Zennor in Orange. With the sheer amount of orange found throughout the OW it was inevitable that eventually we would go for an option that fully makes the most of the colour scheme. Before in the Redhill Racing we subtly picked up on it, but now we’re going all out. The Zennor benefits a unique imprint underneath the strap that really helps with grip, to ensure your watch firmly stays where it should.
