HYT are due to celebrate their 12th anniversary this year and have unveiled a striking new collection to showcase their latest evolution as a brand. Having broken into the watch industry over a decade ago, HYT have been steadily determined to produce timepieces that are daringly different. Making their own rules has admittedly been a recipe for success since their inception, with the brand winning the Innovation Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) in 2012, not long after they were founded. Now, to mark their milestone 12th year of business, their universe is set to expand once more…

“Innovative! Unconventional! Unexpected!”
Proudly presented in Geneva, the HYT team have unveiled the first four references of the striking T1 Series. Fusing HYT’s groundbreaking hydromechanical technology with an impressive line-up of horological complications, the new collection represents the beginning of a new era for HYT.
For the first time in their 12-year history, HYT are trying a new formula; 45mm diameter cases. At first an obvious choice perhaps, but no small feat in fact, when you consider the complexity of incorporating the impressive scale of HYT’s fluidic technology into a more compact case size.

“It is not just about making things ‘smaller’, but, rather, about pushing the boundaries further, thinking differently, developing, and finding solutions.”
Each of the four references unveiled in Geneva have octagonal shaped 45mm cases with subtly faceted sides, though there are two unique case variations: one crafted in titanium and DLC and the other in precious 5N gold with DLC titanium. Salmon, anthracite gray and silver dials are offered with the titanium reference whilst the 5N gold case is a striking match with its elegant midnight blue face.
Featuring a domed ‘bell’ sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and an open caseback secured with screws through which an awe-inspiring view of the movement inside is offered. Ever divergent from the norm, the T1 Series references are powered by two hallmark pistons that regulate the movement of fluids under the impulses of the manually wound caliber 501-CM which has been composed of a jaw-dropping 352 parts. The exclusive HYT manufacture caliber beats at 28,000 vibrations per hour, with a 72-hour power reserve indicator at 2 ‘oclock and water resistance is ensured up to 50 metres thanks to the torque crown, positioned at 2 o’clock.
