The Original Vintage Highley is very much a staple in the WatchGecko range of leather straps. It’s proven to be incredibly popular among customers and continues to be a top seller. And taking a closer look at it it’s easy to see why…
This is a generous strap in every way. It’s thickly padded (6mm thick at the lug end) and made from the very best Italian vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather. The supple pull-up leather is oiled and will age with grace, picking up patina as it’s worn.
This strap is well-suited to a huge variety of mid-size to large watches, from dive watches to pilot watches, and everyday wear watches. However, for a more subtle fit better suited to slim dress and vintage watches, the Classic Highley may be just what you're looking for...
Lastly, the Highley incorporates quick-release spring bars for easy strap changes. If you needed to remove the quick release spring bars, please take a look at our video: How to (EASILY) remove Quick-Release Spring Bars
The Vintage Highley uses certified vegetable-tanned, full-grain Italian leather produced by a member of the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata Al Vegetale. This consortium of tanneries in Tuscany exclusively uses natural plant-derived tannins and centuries-old techniques to create quality controlled sustainable leathers. As a result, this strap will continue to develop patina and only get better as it wears in and begins to age. We guarantee that we use certified leathers from these tanneries, and to read more about these certified responsible Italian tanneries click here.
