Inspired by the golden age of diving watches in the 1960s, the WatchGecko Vintage Tropical Style Strap seamlessly blends functionality and sophistication. The design pays homage to tropic straps from a bygone era with a generous tapered tail, classic style keepers, and a period accurate textured pattern. Yet it is in every way a thoroughly modern strap with hi-tec FKM rubber and quick-release spring bars.
These straps look just like the original tropic straps that were sold with dive watches back in the 1960s. The smaller perforated vents are carefully designed to allow airflow through to your skin, water to drain and for significantly greater user comfort in hot climates. If you want to take your Omega Seamaster back to the 1960s dive culture, and the lifestyle it fostered, the WatchGecko Vintage Tropical Strap is the strap to do it.
The scientific name of FKM is Fluoro-Elastomer. It is an extremely hard-wearing rubber compound highly resistant to salt water, aggressive chemicals, and extreme temperatures (as low as -45C and high as +300C). It is the perfect choice for a sophisticated rubber strap designed to be fitted to the toughest watches whilst also looking smart.
If you would prefer a more modern look, be sure to check out our ZULUDIVER Modern Tropical Rubber Strap and our ZULUDIVER Padded Tropical Rubber Strap.
