Originally developed in the 70s by the British Ministry of Defence (MOD), the strap was actually named G10 because of the service personnel's form they had to complete in order to receive one. Its popularity amongst other regiments led to other colours & patterns.
Today, it's the well known NATO style fashionable watch strap we all wear. NATOs are durable, changeable, strong and used in sporting activities. The design (interweaving, passing through lugs) means it's secure.
Made from a strip of beautifully soft oiled leather with an unfinished split leather lining.

I have a brown color, nice leather is beautiful.
Very nice. Vintage style and quality finish. Delivery is ok.
Brilliant. Made my Sekonda famous.
Impressive Leather Nato strap... Buying this strap to 'rejuvenate' my stainless steel bracelet, to give fresh look on my ordinary watch... worth every single penny spent. It is so comfortable on my wrist…
Very nice leather, had for a few months and looks even better worn in. It has thinned out in places but expect at least a years almost daily wear from it.
Great strap has worn really well. It comes really long so I've cut mine down to a sensible size. Once it had been worn in to place it looks like it came with the watch and I get comments on it all the time.
I bought this strap to replace another leather one that had worn out over the last year or so. That one had a butterfly clasp which had started to get a bit too loose, and I figured something simpler might be a good idea. The strap is for my Seiko SNZG15J1 automatic watch which originally comes with a low-cost fabric strap. (The fact that it's an automatic is relevant because it means I like to take it off my wrist at night to regulate it. That means more wear on the strap.)
It looks really good. The leather is nice and strong and the grain looks nice. One of the reasons I liked the look of this strap is that it's just a simple strip of leather, no lining or other decoration. All hardware looks custom made, high quality brushed stainless steel.
This is a NATO strap, not a Zulu strap, meaning it has two strips of leather under the watch. I was a little worried about how thick the strap would be, seeing as the Seiko 5 is already quite chunky and it would need to have another two layers of leather underneath. In fact it's quite thin and doesn't add much extra thickness. The reverse side of the leather feels comfortable against the wrist.
Overall, I like it a lot. I don't expect leather straps to last forever, particularly the way I mistreat them, but for the cost I'd be quite willing to replace it once a year as needed."
Very comfortable strap. The leather is soft and seems of good quality. Used it for my Seiko snk.
I like the strap. Its a little thin and does not feel robust, but one needs to keep in mind the price. Finish is good. The colour is slightly lighter than the picture (only slightly). Overall I am happy with the product.
I was bit dubious about buying a leather strap for a G10, as I thought it'd be too chunky to fasten, but this is fantastic. The leather is very soft (yet still hardwearing), and it looks great, too. It's also a lot more stain-resistant that my previous strap (a standard G10).
