This watch is classed as “Nearly New”, which means that it is either a customer return or a former photo sample. As such it could have very minor signs of wear and may not be supplied with the original box. However, it has still been checked to ensure that it is running perfectly, and it has a 6 month warranty.

The Squale 2002 series is a classic diving watch that was first released in the 1970’s. Like all of Squale’s models, the brand set out to create a capable diving watch that’s a tool first and foremost.

For example, the 2002 features a unique push-to-release bezel for safe and easy operation in the dangerous conditions that go hand in hand with deep sea diving. To operate the bi-directional bezel, you simply have to push it down before rotating it.

The 2002 also features a sapphire crystal, and is water resistant to an incredible 1,000m. This means it also comes equipped with a helium release valve. The valve is seamlessly integrated into the side of the case and serves to release the helium gas that builds up in the watch during deep diving.

With a 43x55mm case, the Squale 2002 is very comfortable to wear and well balanced on the wrist. What’s more, the beautiful bevelled applied indexes on the dial give this watch a luxurious appearance.

About The Brand

Squale has been manufacturing professional dive watches since 1959. Back then dive watches were just emerging as a new category of tool watch, and Squale quickly established itself as a quality manufacturer of these crucial pieces of equipment.

As a result, Squale watches were worn by many record-breaking divers. In 1967 Enzo Maiorca achieved an immersion record using a Squale Master. And, in 1970 Jacques Mayol set a historic immersion record in Japan, reaching a depth of 76 meters wearing a Squale watch on his wrist.

Today Squale continues to produce many models of dive watch. All of which are professional tools able to withstand the rigours of life in the ocean.
