The NTH Swiftsure is part of the wider NTH 2K1 Subs collection. This range of dive watches pays tribute to the world’s first diving watches fitted with helium escape valves, made for record-setting saturation diving in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Each Swiftsure model utilizes an oversized, lumed crown and pointed crown-guards case, with a helium escape valve at 9 o’clock, a slightly raised, double-domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and no-nonsense case back with minimal decoration. Each Swiftsure model has also been individually tested to withstand 61ATM (610 meters / 2001 feet) of water resistance.
The case of the NTH Swiftsure is only 13mm thick, with chamfered slides and downward-curved lugs for improved comfort. The case is clearly vintage-inspired, though benefits from a clearly modern design, featuring highly-legible markers lumed with BGW9, a bevelled minute track, and a lumed, DLC/PVD hardened steel bezel.
Powering the watch is an automatic Miyota 9015 (with date) or 90S5 (no date) movement. This 24-jewel movement beats at 28,800 bph and has a 42-hour power reserve. The movements in NTH Subs are regulated to within -5/+15 seconds per day.
