The Lansdown, a meticulously crafted leather watch strap handcrafted by our dear friend at an independent leather workshop located in Cheltenham. At WatchGecko, we have always been passionate about producing premium leather straps with the aid of local workshops, allowing us to oversee the production process first-hand.
The skilled artisans behind The Lansdown utilise traditional techniques and tools, abstaining from machine use to showcase their exceptional craftsmanship which results in leather straps of unparalleled quality. The leather utilised in each strap is sourced from Tuscany's renowned Baladassi Carlo tannery, which specializes in producing 100% pure vegetable-tanned leather on shoulders. The stitching is kept simple using an off-white thread, with just a double stitch at the lug ends, a double stitch to secure the buckle, and a V-Stitch detail at the tail end.
Boasting timeless style, The Lansdown handmade leather watch strap is a versatile all-rounder, complementing both casual sports watches and formal dress watches. The contrasting ivory-coloured hand-stitched edge serves to enhance the strap's rich colour, elevating its overall aesthetic appeal.
