The Besford is made from Minerva Box leather sourced from the renowned Badalassi Carlo tannery in Tuscany, Italy. The Minerva Box leather is a tumbled vegetable-tanned leather which has a natural grain. This means that the texture of the leather will vary slightly from strap to strap. Overall, Minerva Box is one of the best vegetable-tanned leathers in the world, and it makes for a supple and richly coloured strap.

The lining is Zermatt calf leather from Tanneries Haas in France, who have been tanning leather since 1842. Zermatt is a mineral tanned calfskin in the top grade, and is hypoallergenic and exceptionally smooth, so it’s perfect for a watch strap lining.
