The New Geckota Dress Watch!

Category: Articles | Date: February 1, 2018

Exclusive preview of the first Geckota watch featuring a Swiss movement... We're very excited to present the Geckota Dress watch!

We’re very excited to share with you the all new Geckota Dress! We’ve been keeping this watch a secret but it is finally ready..

Explore the watch in more detail below…

The new 39mm Geckota Dress watch is continuing where the G1 left off. Expanding our new ‘space age’ theme of using unique dial colours, gold tone hands, and featuring our new Geckota stamped two-tone crown. Whether it’s on a stunning Ostrich leg watch strap, a practical NATO strap or an classic metal bracelet, the Geckota Dress will never fail to turn heads.

We’re announcing this watch in 2 unique dial colours! First up is a beautiful golden brown gradient dial…

and next, the deep and dark teal/aquamarine dial!

Both of these watches feature beautifully executed gradient sunburst dials. Rich in colour and contrast; the dial will transform as light bounces off from different angles, while the rose gold tone hands and indicies shine through to add another dimension of colour. The Geckota logo is printed in black, which provides a nice contrast against the dial while illuminated, and then shifting away to almost not being visible as the sunburst lighting moves.

As mentioned in the title, this is the first Geckota watch to contain a Swiss movement! We will be using the reliable and famed Sellita SW-200! Based on the ETA 2824 this workhorse movement has a power reserve of 38 hours and 26 jewels that assist the movement to beat at a frequency of 28,800 bph. This gives a satisfyingly smooth sweep of the seconds hand, the movement also features hacking and hand-winding capability! All of this is housed in a contemporary 39mm case.

We would love to hear what you think about the new Geckota Dress, so please tell us in the survey here!

Very nice, quite attractive, but too small for me. I know it’s a dress watch, but I have 8.5” wrists.

Looks great! Reminds me somewhat of H Moser with the simple dress design and gradient colored dial. And really cool that you chose a Sellita movement for it. But what will be the price, and when will it be available?

I love the size. Should fit a wide variety of wrist sizes. Good choice of movement. Would have been interesting if you could have sourced a hand wound only movement(Miyota8N33?). I would drop the Geckota logo from the dial and just have it on the back and a ‘G’ on the crown.
