The Sinn 103 St Pilot is a chronograph watch packed with functionality. Inspired by vintage pilot watches, the Sinn 103 follows its company’s heritage resembling the instruments of an airplane cockpit in its design.
The 103 St features a matte black dial with 3 subdials for continuous seconds and a date/day display. At 41mm the case is engineered for endurance and legibility. The pilot watch is made from solid stainless-steel and is fitted with shock resistant anti-reflective acrylic glass, screw down crown and a screw fastened caseback. Legibility in the dark is also not a problem thanks to a luminous key mark on the bezel, and luminous coated hands and indices.
The Sinn 103 is waterproof and low-pressure resistant to 200 metres, meeting the technical requirements set out in standard DIN 8310, and utilizes a unidirectional bezel with 60-minute ratcheting.
Under the caseback, the Sinn 103 St is powered by a reliable Concepto C99001 self-winding movement, with a seconds stop function and is anti-magnetic as per DIN 8309. To complete the sophisticated look of the Sinn 103, the watch is paired with a polished and satinized stainless-steel bracelet.
Why This Watch?
About Sinn
Sinn Watches was founded in 1961 and has long been a big name in horology. The brand was originally focused on producing navigation clocks for cockpits, and this design is reflected in their collection of pilot watches decades later. Sinn promises uncompromising functionality in their watch collections, thanks to industry leading technologies such as Ar-Dehumidifying and antimagnetic construction, Tegiment steel hardening and temperature stabilized movements. It’s not surprising then, that Sinn is praised for their high-quality movements and materials and loved by collectors for their accuracy in extremely demanding conditions.
