I've had this piece for a few weeks now, and I've only grown to like it more and more every time I put it on. The beautiful leather strap feels like a familiar leather jacket, and it seems to go well with whatever I'm wearing. And I've never been a fan of huge watches, so 40mm feels just perfect to me.
I do have a few gripes though. It's a bit thick, the crown looks slightly out of place, and the hands don't quite fit with the style (this watch would be killer with cathedral hands!).
Despite those few, almost insignificant, things, this watch is my go-to piece nearly every day. And at the price, it's tough to beat!
Got mine yesterday, many thanks. Definitely looks better in real life than on the pictures. Very readable dial, excellent contrast, the bold art deco font really stands out, and works well with a wide variety of striped NATOs, both sober of colourful, the 20mm lug width being ideal here.
The blue lume is pretty impressive and easily lasts through the night if given a blast with a LED torch. Not too much reflection from the sapphire glass.
Good sense of detail overall, especially on the clever use of brushed and polished parts on the case. I especially like the small polished groove between the side and top. quite a lot of wrist presence for a 40mm case, similar to, say, an Orient Ray. Though I must point out is does stand pretty tall on the wrist, and the rather long curved horns tend to dig slightly in one's wrist if one wears it on a thin strap such as a perlon.
The screw-down crown is really easy to operate, the pop is positive and it screws easily back in. Accuracy so far points at +6 or +8 seconds-ish, of which I'm very happy. All in all very good value for money, and definitely recommended for people like me with large-ish wrists (8 in) for whom large watches feel OTT.
Brilliant watch with beautiful detail. The size of this watch is perfect for me (as a female) and has a real neat, simplistic design making it look great on pretty much any strap! Extremely happy with this product!
I love the indices that remind me of Zenith watches. The size of the case is smaller that I am used to but it gives a nice vintage and dressy feel. The screw-in crown and the caseback design are two nice features that I appreciate. I am wearing this piece with the gunmetal grey NATO strap which gives a nice vintage combo. I recommend this watch which is really good value!
